Giovanni Tria – Chairman of the board of directors
An Italian academic, economist, and politician, Giovanni Tria graduated in Law and taught economic subjects at several Italian universities, eventually becoming full Professor of Political Economy at Roma Tor Vergata, where he was also elected Dean of the Faculty of Economics in 2017. A consultant for several ministries over the years, Tria served as Minister of Economy and Finance from June 2018 to September 2019 in the Conte I government.
Gaetano Buglisi – Chief Executive Officer
A pioneer of sustainable development in Italy: one of the first Italian entrepreneurs to realize the potential of renewable energy, a sector in which he operates as well as in those of organic farming, sustainable forest management, telecommunications and real estate.
Giovanna Della Posta – Board member
Board member of Arexpo Urban Innovation, from 2019 to 2024 she was CEO of Invimit Sgr SpA, the investment and asset management company wholly owned by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF). With 25 years of experience in strategic sectors such as telecommunications and energy (Fastweb, ENEL), she has also led transformation projects in the insurance and real estate sectors (Sara Insurance, ITAS Insurance), supporting companies in successfully rethinking and redesigning their business model to lay the foundations for future sustainable growth.
Guido Lombardo – Board member
With an international background, he is now Board Member and Chairman of the Investment Committee of Gardant Investor SGR, after having been its Chief Investment Officer and CEO. The Group was born in August 2021 as a spin-off of Credito Fondiario, to whose relaunching and repositioning Lombardo had worked since 2013 covering different roles (Board Member, CEO, Head of Business and CIO). His 40 years’ experience in the sector has also seen him work in leading roles at Harvest Investment Partners (Founder and CEO), Fortress Investment (Managing Director), Morgan Stanley (Managing Director), Italfondiario (A.D.) and Hambros Bank (Director).
Francisco Javier Fiz Perez – Board member
He is currently Professor of Psychology at the European University of Rome, where he collaborates as Co-Director of the Laboratory of Applied Economics and Health.
He was Academic Visitor at the University of Oxford (UK) and Full Professor of Psychology at APRA (Italy).
Graduated in Philosophy, Psychology and Social Bioethics, he obtained a specialization in Executive Business Administration (EMBA) after a PhD in Social Bioethics.
He is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Academic Senate of the Accademia Tiberina, coordinator of the Scientific Committee of the International School of Economics and Ethics (Italy) and collaborates with the International Academy for Economic and Social Development (AISES). He has more than 300 national and international publications, also currently International Director for Development in Italy, Spain and Latin America for SoEI – UK (Society of Emotional Intelligence – UK) and he is a Member of the International Society of Business Leadership (ISOBL – USA).
Co-President of Emerging Markets and President for Latin America at the European Community of Sme Connect, President of OSIERS (Hispano-American Observatory for the Development of the Real Economy and Sustainability) and Vice President of Core Values Org. and the International Institute ICEPS.
Massimo Sonego – Board member
Expert in Mergers, Acquisitions and Restructuring, he has served as a board member in several international joint ventures and listed companies, as well as in several academic and industry associations.
Previous investment banking experience at Morgan Stanley and Citigroup: over 25 years of career in corporate and capital markets transactions, with a proven track record of driving international growth strategy and delivering financial results and operational efficiencies in mergers and acquisitions.
Expertise spanning strategic development, mergers and acquisitions, capital allocation, corporate restructuring, buyout and leveraged finance, liability management and investor relations.

Concretely, IAMazonia wants to promote and support a series of projects with a strong environmental and social focus all around the world, starting from Amazonia with the Mejuruà project

The long-term profitability and financial strength of the projects selected will allow the IAMazonia concept to be extended to other areas and sectors, bringing greater benefits to the environment, stimulating community prosperity, and contributing to the United Nation SDGs.
