Who we are
IAMazonia Foundation is born from the vision of Gaetano Buglisi, an entrepreneur active in the sectors of organic agriculture and renewable energy, Founder and Chairman of GIBBI, now BGenera: an entrepreneur active in multiple sectors, from organic farming to agro-industry, from renewable energy to forest conservation, and more.
Thanks to these experiences, to the careful and constant monitoring and study of the VCM (voluntary carbon credits) market and to the continuous collaboration with the best international market operators, IAMazonia has developed a one-of-a-kind intervention model in the field of forest conservation and, more generally, in Nature-based Solutions (NBS) projects.
This model finds its first implementation in the Mejuruà Project starting in 2021.
For IAMazonia, Buglisi could also count on the collaboration of FUNDACRED fundacao, a Brazilian Foundation represented by Francisco Zavascki and Nivio Delgado, owner since 1974 of the fazenda BR Arbo.

IAMazonia selects a diversified panel of stakeholders who share their same vision and mission:
- Public authorities in the States and territories where the projects will be activated and implementes (e.g. mayors, governors, etc.);
- Non-Governmental Organizations strongly committed to the fight against climate change, to develop agro-forestry or engaged in improving the conditions of local communities;
- Global “best in class” companies in climate change and sustainability issues (e.g. with net zero commitment, etc.).
