Projects

Iamazonia identifies, structures, finances and manages projects that focus on conserving and sustainably managing some of the planet’s most consequential ecosystems. Each project is designed to protect or restore natural environments, generate long-term social value, and create sustainable economic opportunities for local people. Our first and flagship initiative, Mejuruá, started in 2023 and is nearing its implementation phase in the Brazilian Amazon, while we actively explore new projects across the tropical belt of the world where most endangered forests are located.

The Mejuruá Project

The Mejuruá Project is one of the largest and most innovative private REDD+ initiatives in the Amazon. It combines legal forest conservation, carbon credit generation and targeted investment in local development.

Future initiatives

Iamazonia is developing a pipeline of new conservation initiatives in some of the world’s most important carbon-rich ecosystems. While our flagship project is in Brazil, we are international by design and operate through close partnership with public authorities and local organizations.
